The Queen of Hearts
she made some tarts all on a summer's day;
The Knave of Hearts he stole the tarts
and took them clean away.
The King of Hearts called for the tarts
and beat the Knave full sore
The Knave of Hearts brought back the tarts
and
vowed he'd steal no more.

Queen of Hearts lyrics
The origins of the title the 'Queen of Hearts' can be found in the
work of Lewis G. Carroll in his book entitled 'Alice in
Wonderland' first published in 1805. In more recent history the term was used by Princess
Diana during a famous interview as her preference to the
title the Queen of Hearts to that of Queen
of England.
Princess Diana is now lovingly referred to as the Queen of Hearts |
